ONE DRESS. FIVE DAYS. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.

The Little Black Dress Initiative (#LBDI) is a week-long awareness and fundraising campaign that harnesses the power of social media to illustrate the restrictions that poverty places on the choices, opportunities and resources available to women and children in East Texas.

During the 5 days of #LBDI, Junior League of Tyler members are encouraged to wear the same black dress while sharing a fundraising link on social media. The funds raised by #LBDI will be returned to our community through the current JLT Community Projects:

  • JLT Community Assistance Fund
  • Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County
  • Angel Layettes
  • Bethesda Health Clinic
  • Care Closet
  • Champions for Children
  • Children’s Advocacy Center
  • East Texas Crisis Center
  • East Texas Food Bank
  • The Fostering Collective
  • Girl Power
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Literacy Council of Tyler
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Mentoring Alliance
  • St. Paul Children’s Services
  • Summer Reading Camp
  • Texas Adaptive Aquatics
  • Tyler Museum of Art

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

This ALL VIRTUAL fundraiser is a great way for us to continue to help the local organizations that support two of the groups affected the most by poverty - women and children. Please join us in giving back!

You can help by sharing this fundraising page with your family and friends. ❤️
