The Little Black Dress is most commonly known as every woman's fashion staple, offering instant glamour at any event or occasion. However, it is also a reminder of the women who balanced trays, stocked shelves, washed and folded clothes and worked the switchboards. It was a uniform for the "working girls.” In 2014, the Little Black Dress Initiative (#LBDI) was created to raise awareness to the effects of poverty on women and children.
